Helen Yang’s commitment to community service is rooted in a family tradition of giving that spans more than a century.

Since joining Lions Clubs International in 2009, Helen has remained actively involved in charitable and international humanitarian service, including supporting World War II veterans, education for disadvantaged children, disability initiatives and international humanitarian projects.

Across more than 17 years in China and Australia, she has contributed to over 20 charitable initiatives reaching more than 100,000 people, including four major charity galas that raised over A$2 million.

After moving to Australia in 2014, five years of frontline disability support — supporting more than 200 families — deepened her understanding of what it truly means to put people first.

Through these experiences, Helen learned a lasting lesson:

Good intentions alone are not enough.

For compassion to create lasting value, it needs professionalism, responsibility and a sustainable organisation behind it.

That belief became a defining principle of Blue Dreams:

    People First, Always.
